Meditation or Anti-Depressants?

So what is more effective… meditation or anti-depressants? Some people believe that they have to choose between alternative methods and medications, as you can’t possibly do both at the same time for some reason. But to fight depression, it takes more than just one method, as you are a complex being.

There are so many things to take into account when you create a suitable treatment-plan. You need an immediate lifting of your mood… you need tools to fight the depression and solve the underlying issue… you need to stimulate the production of serotonin in the brain… and you need to create harmony and balance inside your mind and body. To achieve this you need more than just anti-depressants. But medication is necessary to help balance the production and release of neurotransmitters in the brain.

You are a Holistic Being

You are a complex being, and you consist of many aspects. Anti-depressant medication can help lift your mood and is a great temporary solution to your situation. But in order for you to get truly better, you need to work hard. You need to include different tactics that can help you recreate balance in your life.
