Finding the Best Essential Oil Diffuser

A diffuser is used for aromatherapy to spread the sweet aromas of essential oils, creating a healing and cleansing environment. There are many diffusers on the market and it can be quite difficult to find the best essential oil diffuser out there. Diffusers are healthy alternatives to things like scented candles or air fresheners.  You will only use essential oils, which are completely natural and do not contain any chemicals or artificial particles. These artificial components are bad for your health and can lead to health issues or allergies. There are different types of diffusers, each with their own pros and cons. But no matter what type you choose, you will still get the great healing and calming effect of the essential oils.

Ultrasonic Diffuser

The ultrasonic humidifier creates a cool mist for a calming and soothing effect. This type of essential oil diffuser uses water to dilute the oils and for creating the soft mist. This also means that the effect of the oils may be reduced a little compared to other diffusers, though it will still have a great aromatherapy effect. These diffusers are probably the most popular as they are very cheap and easy to use, and they don’t require much oil. Just add some water and a few drops of essential oil, and you are good to go.

Nebulizing Diffuser

A nebulizing diffuser is definitely the strongest and best oil diffuser out there, as it generates a stronger and more therapeutic experience. This type of diffuser does not dilute the oils in water, causing it to spread an even stronger healing mist. This diffuser releases clean and pure essential oil into the air, for the maximum effect. It creates a very concentrated mist, which also means it will use much more oil than diffusers using water. The downside of this diffuser, is that it is quite expensive. It may be too expensive for people who are new to essential oils and just need to try it out.

Heat Diffusers

Just as the name indicates, heat diffusers need heat to evaporate and spread the essential oils into the room. But some oils are sensitive to heat, which may change the oils structure and alter its properties. So make sure to use low heat for this diffuser.

Evaporative Diffusers

This diffuser uses a fan to distribute the essential oil into the air. There will be a built in fan, blowing air through a absorbent pad, where you have added a few drops of essential oils. These diffusers come in different shapes and sizes. Some may use electricity or batteries, while others simply use the air alone.

So these were the main four diffusers on the market, and I hope this will help you find the best essential oil diffuser. Choose one that will fit your needs. The ultrasonic diffusers are definitely the most popular, and great for beginners who doesn’t know if this is even right for them. You can always replace your ultrasonic diffuser with a nebulizer later on, if you need a more powerful effect.
